Working on sampling less but I still want to have that gritty classic Boom Bap NYC-ness to my beats. Don't mean to brag (lying) but I am NASTY at chopping samples. However; approaching beats from a different angle allows me to prove to those that turn their nose up at samples (kids born after 1990 and "real musicians" who don't know or understand hip hop's roots in sampling) that I can do it all and still sound just as good and sometimes BETTER than the sample-free beats on the radio. TRUTH!!! Rappers, A&R's record execs(I aint selling my soul for a single though) holla at me!!!

What Eye Want This Year

Aside from selling beats, let me get back to the reason I make beats in the first place. EYE LOVE THIS THING WE CALL HIP HOP UNCONDITIONALLY!!! What else is there for me to do but continue to make music that resonates with my inner being? Share it with the people. That is basically it. I would give my left testicle (lol) to work be able to be part of 9th Wonder's camp as he is my favorite producer in the game right now. It also helps that he is from my second home, Winston-Salem, NC; the very place where I started to make beats.

I would love nothing more than to be a presence felt in NY, NC and also Atlanta as one of the dopest up and coming producers that everybody is waiting in line to work with from Jay Electronica to J Cole. From Marsha Ambrosius to Lauryn Hill (hey it could happen). That is all that matters to me right now. If I happen to make a decent living off of it I would not be mad at that either. But even if I only made 75k a year as opposed to 500k and up I would be very content with living my dreams until I transition out of this planet.

Ok let's be real for a second. Why would somebody be in a business and make money and have the arrogance to expect that they get free raw materials from a supplier. If I have to deal with one more person that wants free beats so THEY can make money off ME for free, imma slap the tax return outta somebody!!! Yeah I get it, people hook you up with beats, you don't want to buy beats from a local producer or giving you a free beat is better for me bc of the alleged exposure you can bring me. PROVE IT!!! "Do it for the love 1ne!" Let's be real clear I love hip hop and the feeling when people embrace my music but love by itself will NOT pay bills. Try it and see. Pay your mobile phone bill by putting the amount of "i love you dollars and i want you cents" on a check and see if you can call people the next day. Lemme know how that works out LOL!

Before I even halfway consider giving you a free beat you better give me the UNSHAKABLE confidence that you have a very successful movement and loyal following that I can benefit from. Talking about it is cool but I need hardcore proof. If you can't provide that then keep moving. I play this game to win, this aint just something for me to do because I am bored. THIS IS MY LIFE!!! Don't @#$% with that!!!

Ok I am done venting...the jewel. Make sure that any deal you get in to regarding your music is of a significant benefit to you but NEVER try to get over on anybody. Don't let them get over on you either. That is all.
